KWA LM4 SR-7 and PTR Gas Blowback Rifles Video Exclusive

Our friends at Airsoftology have got their hands on the new KWA LM4 (Law Enforcement Version) SR-7image (RIS) and PTR (standard) GBBR, which we reported on back in January, and take them for an exclusive test run under the watchful eye of Allen, AKA ‘Allizard’, KWA’s busy Product Manager. These prototypes will be marketed towards Law Enforcement and Military applications and as such, their fit and form resemble real steel in both operation and compatibility with real steel accessories (’Civilian’ models available later on). Check the Hi-Def video below for all the goods including the obligatory gratuitous mag dump. Enjoy

WETTI XM-177 Gas Blowback Prototype

Another prototype has risen from the bowels of WE Research and Development via arms-cool.net, the Vietnam era XM-177. I can’t tell from the angle if it has a forward assist so it may be the E1 model but certainly not theImage2 E2 as it’s a 10" barrel configuration.

Like the previous WE prototype articles, this XM-177 seems to be fairly accurate in its representation of the Vietnam era AR-15. Like my wishes for the WE M16A1 VN, I hope WE adopts the subtle design differences of the XM-177 by using a slim handguard and a non-tapered delta ring in the finished version. From the angle it’s unclear if WE will be using their new Open Bolt blowback system but it seems to be popping up in all the latest prototypes so I’d expect it. On with the pics.

WE TTI M16A1 and M16A2 GBB Prototype Spy Shots

Straight from WE Labs via Arms-Cool is what appears to be some new prototype pictures of a WE TTIImage2 Vietnam era M16A1 and a M16A2 gas blowback rifle. I’ve no doubt as to their authenticity as the trademark WE brass chamber is present in some shots which sadly also leads me to believe that a rumoured brass-less Open Bolt type GBB system is not on the cards for these models.

Design of the M16’s seems to be fairly accurate with it’s U.S.G.I A1 style grip on the M16A1 but hopefully some of the smaller details will also be replicated such as the M16A1 teardrop type forward assist and non-tapered Delta Ring. A replica 20rd magazine looks like it will be available which will please the Vietnam era purist/enthusiasts. Anyway on with the pics.

GHK PDW GBB in a 5 Magazine Torture Test

We’ve seen plenty of videos now of the prototype GHK PDW GBB in action and if they weren’t enoughGHK Airsoft to wet your appetite, GHK Airsoft, famous for their gas blowback AK74 series, has released a new video of the GHK PDW GBB chewing through 5 GHK magazines on full auto with it barely skipping a beat (a couple of misfires due to the bolt not seating but we won’t hold that against them as it is a prototype after all). The lack of a cool-down effect is very conspicuous. Nice.
